Located within the 440-acre Arcos Gardens residential complex, Arcos Gardens Golf & Country Club is an exceptional golf facility. Used by the Swedish Golf Federation and the English Golf Union as a winter training facility, the 18-hole layout aims to challenge professionals and amateurs equally. Other facilities at the complex include a great clubhouse, spa and equestrian centre.
Benalup Golf and Country Club
Stretching nearly 6,700 yards over gently undulating land, Benalup Golf and Country Club was designed by Belgian golf course architect Paul Rolin in 2001. Boasting spectacular views of La Laguna de la Janda and the Arcornocales Natural Park, the course features numerous water hazards and elevated greens. Whilst bunkering on most of the raised green is light, the courses five par-five holes illustrate the its testing nature.
Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri
One of the largest golf resorts in Spain, Club de Golf Novo Sancti Petri sits within a sprawling 990-acre residential development. Designed by the great Seve Ballesteros, the club boasts a total of 54 holes, with 36 holes arranged into 2 par-72 layouts and the remaining part of the extensive practice facility. Known as ‘Sea – Pines’ and ‘Centre’, the golf courses offer sweeping views over the ocean and the incredible beach of La Barrosa. Whilst enjoying the sea breeze, golfers will have to overcome stepped greens, protective bunkers and water hazards in order to score well at Novo Sancti Petri.
Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club
Part of a large residential estate on the Costa de la Luz, Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club offers impressive facilities. Featuring 27 holes arranged into three loops of nine, a 9-hole par three course and exceptional practice facilities, the clubs offer enough variety to suit players of all abilities. Designed by Jose Maria Olazabal and Integral Golf Design, the ‘Olivos’ and ‘Palmeras’ nine make up the par-72 Championship course. Montecastillo Resort
One of the most popular golf resorts in the world, Montecastillo Resort is a must-visit whilst staying in the region for a golfing holiday.
