Located in northern Majorca, near the popular resort town of Alcudia, the course offers enviable views of the nearby island of Alcanda and its lighthouse. Surrounded by pine and olive groves, the course features varying elevation changes and crosses valleys and ravines to increase the difficulty. Accuracy is vital for the majority of holes at Club de Golf, although there are some which would suit big hitters giving it plenty of variety.
Son Muntaner at Arabella Golf and Spa Resort
One of four golf courses at the Arabella Golf and Spa Resort, Son Muntaner was designed by Kurt Rossknecht and inaugurated in 2000. Routed over undulating terrain, this par 72 course measures impressive 7,000 yards. Laid out in two loops of nine, Son Muntaner features various water hazards and hourglass-shaped greens to test golfers of all abilities. This course is also home to ‘Na Capitana’, the oldest millenary olive tree in Mallorca.
Son Vida Golf at Arabella Golf and Spa Resort
The oldest golf course on the island, Son Vida Golf is part of the Arabella Golf and Spa Resort, just outside the Majorca’s capital city, Palma. Host to two editions of the European Tour’s Open de Baleares, the course has developed an international reputation. One of the most beautiful courses on the island, Son Vida offers views across the Bay of Palma, threatening to distract players from strategic play. Featuring narrow fairways, various elevation changes and a couple of water hazards, golfers will enjoy both the beauty and difficulty of Son Vida.
Golf Maioris
Surrounded by pine, olive and carob trees, Golf Maioris is located in Puigderros, 10 miles south of Palma. Spread over 6,350 metres from the back tees, the terrain is gently undulating, with an array of elevation changes. Featuring beautifully contoured greens, some of which are two-tiered, and several water hazards, this course is more understated than others in the area but will test even the most experienced of players.
Vall d’Or Golf
Originally a 9-hole course, Vall d’Or was extended to the current 18-hole layout in 1993 by Brad Benz. Located 40-minutes away from Cala Bona and Cala Millor, the course offers spectacular sea views. Measuring 5,538 metres in length, Vall d’Or combines two contrasting landscapes, providing golfers with a memorable experience. Featuring undulating forest fairways and downhill coastal play, the course has a variety of difficulty to satisfy players of all abilities.
