Must-Visit Golf Courses in Majorca

Club de Golf Alcanada

Situated in the north of the island, close to the popular resort town of Alcudia, Club de Golf Alcanada opened for play in 2003, and regularly ranks in the top 5 best golf courses in Spain. Crossing valleys and ravines, the course features various elevation changes and offers enviable views of the nearby island of Alcanda and its lighthouse.

Golf Maioris

Routed over gently undulating terrain, Golf Maioris is located in Puigderros, 10 miles south of Palma. Encircled by pine, olive and carob trees, the course measures 6,350 metres from the back tees. Featuring perfectly contoured greens, some of which are two-tiered, elevation changes and several water hazards, the course may appear subtle, but it will prove a challenge.

Golf Son Gual

Designed by the three-time German Amateur Champion Thomas Himmel, Golf Son Gual is a family-run members’ golf club set in Palma. Considered to be the best golf course on the Balearic Islands, the course incorporates the Mediterranean wind, making it a challenging and unpredictable course. A nature paradise, the course features over 800 mature olive trees and few acres of wildflowers to create an idyllic environment.

Son Muntaner at Arabella Golf and Spa Resort

Son Muntaner is one of four golf courses at the sprawling Arabella Golf and Spa Resort. Inaugurated in 2000, the par 72 course was designed by Kurt Rossknecht and stretches 7,000 yards over undulating terrain. Including multiple water hazards and hourglass-shaped greens, golfers of all abilities will be tested.

Son Vida Golf at Arabella Golf and Spa Resort

Part of the Arabella Golf and Spa Resort, Son Vida is the oldest course on the island of Majorca. Located just outside Palma, the course offers spectacular views of the Bay of Palma, distracting golfers from strategic play. Host to two editions of the European Tour’s Open de Baleares, Son Vida features narrow fairways, various elevation changes and a couple of water hazards.

Vall d’Or Golf

Offering spectacular sea views, Vall d’Or Golf is located 40-minutes away from the popular resort towns of Calla Bona and Cala Millor. Originally a 9-hole course, it was extended by Brad Benz in 1993, resulting in its present 18-hole layout. Featuring two contrasting landscapes, golfers will enjoy both traditional undulating forest fairways and downhill coastal play.
